Swedish firm to light up Dubai’s night sky by storing desert heat during daytime

Energy storage company Azelio will add the new dimension to the world’s biggest solar park in Dubai, by storing heat in an aluminum block.
The ambitious solar power project, being built at a cost of AED50bn, is at the heart of Dubai’s vision for becoming the city with the lowest carbon emissions by 2050. In the coming decade, it is expected to hit a capacity to generate 5000MW energy.
